The Latin American Symposia of Tensile Structures are the representative events of the Latin American Network of Tensile Structures (TENSORED). From the first Symposium held in Sao Paulo, Brazil (2002), through those of Caracas, Venezuela (2005), Acapulco, Mexico (2008), Montevideo, Uruguay (2011), Santiago de Chile, Chile (2012) and Brasilia, Brazil (2014) and Lima, Peru (2018) these event represent a milestones in the Latin American Textile Architecture agenda; where lectures of the main global interlocutors of the sector are given, as well as presentations of regional developments and work in both institutional and private areas, student competition and technical workshops.

The VIII Latin American Symposium of Tensile Structures - SLTE 2020 will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism of the University of Buenos Aires, on September 30 to October 2, 2020.

The program of the SLTE-2020 will cover topics related to the design, calculation, engineering, manufacturing, specific technology of assembly, as well as its relationship with technical and environmental aspects that involve them in the concerns of the current architecture.
