1st Italian Workshop on Shell and Spatial Structures (MOVES ONLINE!)

IWSS2020 moves online

Due to the high concerns over the spread of the coronavirus we decided to move the workshop online. 

Participation as a speaker or as a listener is NOW FREE of CHARGE.

It is possible to subscribe to IWWS2020 using the registration form on the website (https://sites.google.com/view/iwss2020) by May 31th 2020.

Speakers should also submit an abstract during the registration process. Speakers are also invited to submit a short video, commented slides or a short paper to the organizers (by June 10th , 2020) sending an email to IWSS@polito.it.

The 1^st Italian Workshop on Shell and Spatial Structures, is inspired to some of the themes of the IASS and wants to connect researchers and designers around this big field of interest.

The workshop offers lectures pertaining to the design, modelling, analysis, construction, and other aspects of the technology of all types of shell and spatial structures. These may include, but are not limited to, tension and membrane structures, framed and lattice structures, gridshells and active-bending structures, shell roofs, tensegrity structures, pneumatic and inflatable structures, active and deployable structures, concrete, metal, timber and bio-based, spatial structures. Workshop topics will be devoted to experimental and theoretical studies, analysis methods and approaches regarding their design, computational form finding, structural optimization, manufacturing, testing and maintenance techniques and historical reviews.
